Career & leadership coaching in Silver Hollow, WA

Get unstuck, on purpose.

You are good at your job and still not sure what the next move is. In a few weeks you could have a plan you believe in, and the words to go ask for it.

  • 30 minutes, free
  • Video or in person
  • No obligation after it

A real conversation, first

No intake form marathon, no sales script. Half an hour to work out whether we should work together at all.

Who I work with

Mid-career, competent, and stuck on the same question for months.

Almost everyone who books a call is somewhere in one of these three. If you recognize yourself in more than one, that is normal, and it is usually where the interesting work is.

You have outgrown the job

Good title, decent money, and a quiet certainty that this is not where the next ten years should go. You want a plan you believe in before you hand in anything.

You just started leading people

You were promoted for being excellent at the work, and now the work is other people. Nobody handed you the manual, because there isn't one.

You are running on empty

Still delivering, still respected, and dreading Sunday nights. You want your boundaries and your ambition back, in that order.

Ways to work together

Three sizes of the same careful work.

How it works

Four steps, and the first one is free.

Coaching is not advice with a nicer name. Most of the answers are already in your head in pieces. My job is to ask the questions that put them in order, and then to hold you to what you said you would do.

    A free 30-minute call

You tell me what is going on. I ask a lot of questions. At the end I tell you honestly whether coaching is the right tool, and if it isn't I will say so.

  2. 02

    We agree on one thing

Not seven. One outcome, written down in your words, with a way to tell whether it happened. That sentence steers everything after it.

  3. 03

    The sessions

Sixty or ninety minutes at a time, on video or across a table. You do most of the talking. You leave every session with something to try before the next one.

  4. 04

    You keep the plan

Notes, language, and the decisions you made, in a document that is yours. Most people come back a year later for a tune-up, and that is a fine way to work.

I came in wanting a new job and left with a promotion I hadn't thought to ask for. The questions were uncomfortable in the useful way.
Dana R. · Silver Hollow
Six sessions and I finally had language for what I do all day. My manager used most of it word for word in my review.
Marcus T. · Ridgemont
I was three months from quitting outright. We rebuilt the boundaries first and the rest of it got a lot less dramatic.

About

A quiet room, two chairs, and better questions than you would ask yourself.

I spent fifteen years inside companies before I started coaching, most of it managing people who were smarter than me at their own jobs. That is where I learned the thing this whole practice runs on: people rarely need to be told what to do. They need someone to slow them down long enough to hear what they already think.

  • Solo practice, so you always work with the same person
  • Sessions on video, or in person around town
  • Credentials and hours listed in full on the about page

Start with the free call. Decide after that.

Tell me what you are working on and I will come back within one business day with two or three times that suit you. If coaching is not the right fit, I will tell you on the call and point you somewhere better.
